The Streak

This is a bi-product of a trip downtown to hear a concert at the CBC.

The streaking through the centre of the shot is the Skytrain.

My sensor was shockingly dirty as it turned out.

I did my best to clone out the worst spots.

The Great White North

We have very little snow in town (as of this writing) but they got walloped in the valley.

Today's forecast high is -6º C or 21º American. 

An 'Arctic Outflow Warning" means temps could drop to 20º below.

I'll believe it when it happens.

Generations

The Skytrain on the left is the 25 year old version, t'other is the recent MKII model.

The new one may look faster but it's not. 

It is, however, roomier.

Quarter Century

A Mark 1 Skytrain car entering Main St./Science World Station.

The Skytrain was completed in 1986, this car is almost 25 years old. The new cars are more spacious and sleeker looking.

While I waited, and waited, for the bus the other night I experimented with long exposures while resting the camera on a railing.

As the Carnival Band rode the up escalator an even goofier bunch were headed down.

When I first got my new camera I tried all sorts of dumb stuff with predictable results.
