Shipping Out

A couple of weeks ago I figured the cruise ships were as good as gone.
On Sunday there were three of them at Canada Place and one at Ballentyne Pier.
Shows what I know.

Montréal

From The Archives

A shot made on Rue St. Catherine almost four years ago.
I was easily distracted then and I'm easily distracted now.

My Epiphany

Sunday Feature ~ Another Place, Another Time
It's no secret that I'm a bit slow on the uptake.

I've spent untold hours scanning and cleaning up slides and negs, mostly just to put them on the blog.

The results rarely looked as good as the prints processed back when I made the images.
I know photographers who do this but it only recently dawned on me that I could take pictures of the pictures.
The results couldn't be any worse than the scans and I wouldn't have to spend time cloning out the dust and debris.
Et voila!
Now I have to find something to do with all the time I've freed up.

1937 Hayes Bus

Once in a blue moon I might get a shot like this just by luck.
This one was planned,

Norman's

East Vancouver is where I grew up and as far as I can recall there was always a produce market here.
I don't think it was always called Norman's but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

Black Dog

Video stores are practically extinct these days.
But Black Dog manages to hang on.
So far.
