Yesterday I trudged along to the Vancouver Archives. 

I've been there before but had never made use of the 'faciliites' until yesterday. The orange tiles, right out of the '70s, were a little jarring.

Sorry, I don't know the colour of the tiles in the Ladies. 

I'm thinking there may be potential for a series on Vancouver's 'public conveniences'.

This area, along with others where Canada Line construction has been underway for at least two years, is a constant traffic snarl. It's better now than it has been but it's still bad. 

Just for the sheer heck of it I took a shot yesterday during another snow fall.

Fall is winding down, or has wound down, but this draft post was cluttering up my posts file so I'm going to use it in spite of the anticipated grumbling from the audience. Never fear, once fall is gone it will be photos of gray skies and wet streets until June. Wait until you see the month-long umbrella and gumboot exhibition I'm working on.

As many peppers as you can get into a bag for $4.00. Seemed like a good deal.

This was taken Oct. 23. It's a whole new weather ball game now and the Farmer's Markets will move indoors until next year.

Oranges

We're having a heat wave. It was about 90° F again Saturday. The forecast has it all ending on Monday.

If the Canadian Fishing Company isn't the most colourful business on the waterfront I'd like to know which is. CanFisCo appears to be keeping at least one awning company in business.

I'm too embarrassed to divulge the number of pictures I've taken of this building. And I'm not done yet. It's a mild obsession.
