Canadian Architects ...

… in D.C.

As soon as I clapped eyes on it I knew the National Museum of the American Indian
was designed by Douglas Cardinal.

Near my hotel is the Arena Stage at Mead Centre for American Theatre.
I knew right away that it was a Bing Thom building because of the wood elements.
He's used them elsewhere.
I took the shot below to jog my memory. If I'd planned to post it I'd have tried a little harder.

I like all those curves a lot. I hope to go to that museum and had no idea the building itself had such interesting features. Hope you are having fun on the road. Thanks for taking us all along with you!

Oh that is gorgeous. Must me a new museum because I was there about 3 years ago and I wouldn't have missed this one.

PS Don't miss the WWII memorial at night and try and find the statue of Einstein. It's hidden! :)
