Christmas Tree

On December 19, 2006 more than 1000 trees in Stanley Park were felled by severe winds. An historic storm to be sure. This tree is one of the survivors and it insisted on being photographed with snow on it's branches, those that remain.

Another December, twenty years or so ago, I was in Cairo. On December 25 I found my way to the camel market. Herdsmen from Sudan drive their camels, for a month or so, up to Cairo to sell them. It was a memorable day. Even though this is not a good quality photo I'm rather fond of it and decided to post it today.

These are not camels

Oh dear it does look rather forlorn and bedraggled, doesn't it?

After my Christmas dinner I am definitely not feeling forlorn and bedraggled. More stuffed to the rafters.

Hope you have a very happy Christmas Day Wayne.

Those are two sentences I don't think I'll ever be able to write.

Unfortunately.

Wonderful and majestic survivor withstanding the again unusual season weather.

Compliments of the season to you and yours.

You have a gift for linking two thoughts that pretty much have nowt in common, Wayne.

Your last line was irresistible — I ended up laughing my head off!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, Wayne. Despite that ominous crossword puzzle in today's post!
