Christmas Tree

On December 19, 2006 more than 1000 trees in Stanley Park were felled by severe winds. An historic storm to be sure. This tree is one of the survivors and it insisted on being photographed with snow on it's branches, those that remain.

Another December, twenty years or so ago, I was in Cairo. On December 25 I found my way to the camel market. Herdsmen from Sudan drive their camels, for a month or so, up to Cairo to sell them. It was a memorable day. Even though this is not a good quality photo I'm rather fond of it and decided to post it today.
