Gardening Flimflammery

Hundreds of tulips are blooming around City Hall.

Apparently they perk right up when the sun comes out but it's all a bit of jiggery pokery.

These tulips were raised in a greenhouse and are planted in their pots.

Nevertheless quite effective from a distance.

Chicken Condos

Yes siree Bob! City Council will be permitting frustrated farmers to keep chickens in their back yards. As far as I know the by-law isn't in force quite yet.

No roosters, just hens.

City Hall

City Hall may make encore appearances here from time to time. I opted for the unimaginative, straight-on view this time.

Below is an example of the new street signs in Cambie Village which incorporate a stylised image of city hall.

Ivy

I just like the colours. The ivy covered lamp post is in front of city hall.

Tomorrow, after 89 (but who's counting) posts of the mundane and the profane, Vancouver City Hall will make it's debut here.

Drum roll please.
