City Hall

City Hall may make encore appearances here from time to time. I opted for the unimaginative, straight-on view this time.

Below is an example of the new street signs in Cambie Village which incorporate a stylised image of city hall.

Wayne, I love this city hall shot against one of those surreal blue skies digital cameras love to capture. It's beautiful! And the street sign shot is really interesting, too, with that disappearing line of light posts behind it.

Do other streets have little logo pictures on them? I'm not sure I like it...

Laurie, some shopping districts have a unique street sign. Everywhere else they are uniform. I like this one, I don't think too much of some of the others.

It's a fun building to try to photograph.

Wow! I love the design of that building, very art deco. And such blue skies. I thought it rained a lot in Vancouver..

Oh Lordy, it looks a lot like our City Hall and all I can say is I hope yours doesn't have as much foolishness going on as ours. We have a saying down here, "fish-eyed fools". Get my drift???

Angela, it's raining now and it isn't pretty. I'm reliving the glory days of fall.

V. It sounds like your city hall is a lot like our city hall on the inside too. We have a civic election in 2 weeks so we may be changing to a new bunch of thumb twiddling, fence sitters.
