Traffic Stop

Traffic Stop
I've been out of touch re: traffic fines but I did some research (Googled).
Whatever this driver did wrong the fine will hurt.
Some examples:
If he ran a red $167.00
If he was on the phone $167.00
He got off lightly if he drove over a fire hose  $81.00
Driving without insurance costs $600.00

Or perhaps a burnt light.

Good point Stephan. Most cars in Vancouver are black, grey or beige. This guy is clearly a trouble maker.

How about for leaving your bright lights on??? In the Mojave desert, at 10:00 at night, left on accidentally after driving for 4 hours through the desert where there are no lights...(I had been diligent about turning them on and off with approaching traffic...but after four hours??? come on!!!)
Yep...cost me over $300, including traffic school!!! When I got stopped and he told me why he stopped me, I relaxed and thought he'd go back, check my license, come back and tell me to turn them off and go on...
NO!!! he wrote me a ticket!!! When I told TheChief he asked me how old the CHP was and I told him he looked like he was in high school...TheChief said new officers tend to go by the book and don't think they can use discretion...
Glad I wasn't driving a green car like this one...he would have added driving under the influence of "over the top" taste!!!

Yes a fine for some colors would be nice.

CaT, the rules vary province by province. In BC you can use a phone 'hands free'. You never have to look very hard to find someone breaking the rules.
