Wheatboard Dozer

The Games Are Open is a project installed on a wasteland next to the Olympic Village.

This larger-than-life bulldozer is made from wheatboard salvaged from 2010 Olympic construction.

The wheatboard will eventually disintegrate from exposure to the elements.

Wheatboard: Is that what breakfast cereal's made of? If they re-recycle the dozer as cereal they could market it as the Breakfast of Olympic Champions.

I like it! Or maybe what I like is the sky.

I like it too Karin. The sky is a big plus in this shot.

Thanks for the comments.

V, Wheatboard, made from the stuff left in the fields after harvest. Previously it would have been ploughed under or, in some countries, burned off. It's a non-toxic alternative to Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF).

Hi Gerald, thanks for stopping by.
