Looks quite attractive to me, against that clear blue sky you seem to have so much of there. VPL is short for 'visible pantie line' over here! (What ladies don't want showing through their trousers.) Either way, it seems to be a negative term!
By the way, you were right, there is a great ressemblance between the church I posted yesterday and the sation in LA, although this has been built fourteen years earlier than the first.
I used to love the old one at Burrard and Robson. It was a meeting place for me and my mates when we all bussed in from various burbs. I think it's been replaced with a Virgin record store? I hardly recognize downtown Vancouver when I visit now. I must say the new one is architecturally interesting but not very inviting.
Lynne, the old building was a fancy Virgin music store. Virgin left town and now it's an HMV I think. One problem with the new library is that everything about the finishes looks cheap and drab.
I loved it when it was glowing orange in the sunset ( the one you've posted on RedBubble) but here, I'm not all that excited. Guess slick modern buildings don't turn my crank. It's not the photographer......just rather ordinary architecture. Sadly that's what is showing up all over all our towns. V

we have an I M Pei building here in B'ham that will bore you to tears. I tried to capture the fountain last week and it's lackluster as well! V

Yeah, I saw the title before I saw the picture and wondered what on earth Wayne had come up with today!!
I like the picture, though I can see not everyone would be a fan of the building.
Fantastic composition!
