Oasis

Believe it or not, this is less than 20 metres from Cambie St., one of the city's busy north/south streets.

Don't you just love these little oases of peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of a busy city? The red of those leaves is amazing.

That looks a nice place to sit with a sandwich. Never having been to Canada, and stories of rogue bears sticking in my mind, I might be slightly nervous of one leaping out from behind a bush to grab my BLT (bacon lettuce tomato) but hopefully that doesn't happen much in Vancouver ;-)

Beautiful park, the colours are stunning! It's allways good to have 'green lungs' in the cities.

Ruby, at the height of the season bears leap out of the bushes and steal picnickers sandwiches all the time. We keep this hushed so as not to adversely affect tourism.
