Sailing Into The Sunset

The Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival was a lot of fun, for me at least. But not everyone is interested in boats and I haven't been showing much of Vancouver other than the underside of the Granville Street Bridge and the expensive waterfront condos on False Creek.

This is the last of the wooden boat pics. Sunday was the final day but rain came down in sheets and I couldn't force myself to go down to Granville Island. I probably missed an opportunity.

The view above shows some of the boats, several more are tied up further along the dock.

If you would like to see a few more boat pics I've created a small album.

I love the boats! If only we could go sailing here...if only I owned a boat! The flags make a great photo, as well.

Thanks for visiting my blog. And don't worry - I won't post any from Yakima Valley. Though I am going there this weekend. :o)

Excellent series. Ever read A Voyage for Madmen? It's about the 1963 race sponsored by the London Times. Six single run sailboats circumnavigating the globe..alone. Incredible book for sailing buffs.
