Colder than a.........

witch's t.., no strike that, I want to keep my G rating. Let's say it was colder than a well digger's belt buckle.

I'm in Ottawa, Canada's capitol, for two days. These are just your garden variety travel snaps but I thought they might be interesting to some who haven't had the opportunity to visit. Or visit in winter (technically winter isn't for another week or so).

Ottawa has been a favourite city of mine since I first visited here a long time ago. It surprises me that no one living here is doing a CDPB. It would be a fabulous addition.

Parliamentary Library

A grainy, handheld shot of the centre block on Parliament Hill. There is a light show display for the holidays. I took dozens of shots but....., here come the excuses, a) I didn't have a tripod. b) it was dark. c) it was -13ÂșC and I couldn't work the camera very well with gloves on. d) if I took the gloves off my fingers didn't work very well. I think that about covers it. My poor little camera was like a block of ice by the time I got back to the hotel.

A grainy snapshot of the Peace Tower. See above for excuses.

I'm away from home until Dec. 16. The next few days will have boring old holiday snaps from Ottawa, Toronto or somewhere between them and Vancouver.
