I Was Too Late ...

… to see what it was these guys were doing at the stern of this ship.

Easily Entertained

I watched for the best part of an hour while this crew installed inflatable lifeboats.
My guess is that the lifeboats have to be certified every so often and the due date had arrived.
This ship left the Great White North for LA on Monday and won't be back until Spring.

I wasn't the only one enjoying the show.

Rush Hour ...

… at Canada Place.
Vancouver doesn't seem to have more than two ships a day in recent years.
But they leave town at the same time.
'Time and tide' and all that.

Disney Wonder

This is as close as I want to get to cruising to Alaska with Mickey, Dopey, Grumpy and a boatload of kids.

Mickey Mouse Cruise Line

Steam Boat Willie has done alright for himself.

It won't be long before the cruise ships head south for the winter season.

All You Can Eat ...

… and don't need to eat.

Vancouver is smack dab in the middle of the annual Alaska Cruise season. I forget which ship this was.

It doesn't matter, you've seen one you've seen 'em all.

What's wrong with this picture?

I think it's in my best interest to narrow this down to multiple choice:

A. there aren't enough cranes
B. there aren't enough freighters
C. it's just a crummy photograph
D. there is a cruise ship in Vancouver in January
E. all of the above

Obviously all are correct answers, but if you chose D give yourself a pat on the back.

The ship is almost certainly going to be Owe-lympic accommodation for, workers? visitors? the army? the secret police? the Jamaican bobsled team? Zamboni drivers? Who knows?
