Folks not living in Vancouver probably don't have any idea what this is all about, I'll try to be brief.
Pirate Joe's resells stock purchased from Trader Joe's in the U.S.
It's a weird business model that I couldn't understand even when the dollars were at par.
These guys cross the border to Bellingham and even further south to buy thousands of dollars of stock weekly.
Trader Joe's sued them a couple of times (copyright infringement, etc.), unsuccessfully.
Now I guess they call the place Irate Joe's.
It's still a stupid business model but the fact that they remain open confirms my suspicions about some Vancouverites.

Sounds very weird indeed.
Strange concept for sure.
I read about this in the New York Times. A fool and his money, and so on, but how do they get it through customs?
That's another mystery Bob. I wondered that myself.
