Too bad someone can't give him a job because he looks pretty inventive Doesn't see to be gathering too much attention, tho.
It may not be such a crazy idea, considering how many people walk looking downwards.
He seems to be making an "existential" point about awareness and how preoccupied we are and how automatic we have become that we don't notice... At least two people in the shot are *texting*! arggghhh.

Thought perhaps his sign said, "I've fallen and can't get up!" Urbanites know how to walk around these folk without intruding on their space. Interesting street photography.
