Basic Botany

_DSC5341
For all intents and purposes I can't tell one plant from the next.
But I know a holly leaf when I see one.
Based on superficial research, the best I could come up with for variety was Aquifolium.

I hope this is a recent photo and your spring weather is well on it's way.

I have the same thing growing in my yard here in Colorado. I didn't know what it was either and posted the picture with a question: What is This? back in April 2012. The answer came back from several people, including a couple of people in Vancouver, that it was Oregon Grape.

Aha!!! aguifolium has a 'holly-like' leaf. It's not actually holly. Thanks Christine

Great bokeh!!! Interesting how there's also a natural repetition of form too!!!

I have never seen this one in Norway / Scandinavia.
Very pretty.
I like the way you composed this image, the focal point etc.
