The Bay

The Bay
The downtown Hudson's Bay store has always been an impressive looking building.
But I don't think it's ever looked better than it does since the recent multi-million dollar facelift.
It's all spiffed up, at least in part, because Nordstrom is moving in across the street.

With this light at night it must make more impression then in daylight I guess. But it is a beautiful shot Wayne.

Yeah, never seen the Bay looking quite so spiffy. My grandmother used to work there in the "foundations" department ...girdles and other such hardware for ladies. With those scrumptious malted milks and hot dogs they used to serve up in the basement snack bar, no wonder so many ladies were in need of heavy duty undergarments. Did you ever try any?--the malts I mean, not the underwear
...though...if the girdle fits...

Lynne, I stopped at the snack bar for a 'malted milk' lots.. It was some kind of soft-serve stuff that you had to eat with a spoon (or straw?). I wouldn't likely eat it now but I sure liked it then.

Yes, that's the stuff! I would totally have a glass of it if I could ever find it again.
