I was once driven by a school friend of mine in one of these beauties to a Jefferson Airplane concert way out in "the boonies" of Richmond, back in the day...
Actually...make it an Austin Healy with a white top, and you're looking at my dad's convertible he had (and got rid of ) before I was old enough to drive!!! Both my sisters got to drive it but he sold it before I turned 16...the only thing I can't forgive my dad for!!! (Otherwise, he was a great Dad!)
I remember these well. A good friend of mine wanted one but couldn't afford it so he settled for a red MG (that was about 1962-63 in Phoenix, Arizona).
Beautiful Triumph TR3. Old British sports car are great fun to drive, even today so long as one stays off Interstate highways. And it is just the right color for a photograph.

Oh, I wanted one of those so bad when I was a teenager.
A classic.
Redder than red.
