Recumbent

Recumbent
I was looking for bikes coming from the other direction.
This chap rode by and I caught him by chance.
I've never tried a recumbent bike but I'm all for sitting back with my feet up.

Are you not afraid to fall in sleep with such position. Also you don't have much view to anticipede in some traffic with car's.

First one I've seen with a windshield. I also noticed some interest things in the background.

They say they're more efficient, but I've always wondered about mounting one and getting started in that position.

I recently met a retired couple touring the South on recumbent trikes. In a week or so, I'll feature them on my blog. Seems that they're easier on one's back muscles, and the trikes are supposed to be more stable than just two wheels.

Great action photo. I love to ride a bike like this, at least for once.

I've ridden a recumbent bike at the gym, but not on the street!!! It just doesn't seem like you would have much control. It is more comfortable!!!

Recumbent bikes are a small percentage of the total bikes. I'm sure their owners think they're the best thing ever. I like the idea but I don't know if I'd be comfortable sitting so low for visibility reasons.

These bikes seem scary to me, I think you are not as visible as on a regular bike, but it must be comfortable for sure!
