What a beautiful photo. Love the shadows and the blossom. I find these mausoleums very interesting, always wonder why someone feels that they want to be buried in something so impressive. Why not, like the rest of us folks, under the ground? :-)
Yes, CaT, there was a fresh bunch of daffodils on the door.
Nellies, there are just two family mausoleums in the cemetery. At least 4 people are interred in this one. John Hendry and Eric Hamber were both notable Canadians. Hendry was a pioneering businessman and Hamber, among other things, was a Lieutenant Governor of B.C. Hamber married a Hendry, hence two families share the vault.
I don't like the idea of these mausoleums much but anything that gives me a blog post isn't all bad.
