Some folks are devoted to old VW vans.
It defies logic but I suspect most cases can be traced to mental illness or a death wish.
On this block there were two of #%*! things.

So Wayne has no use for Volkswagen vans. One good thing about it is that happy face on the front looks like me.
:)
Hey--I love VW vans and I'm not crazy nor do I have a death wish! I wanted to (and did) road trip, but alas, not in a VW camper.
Funny thing. I like it
interesting......
:)
I'm with you Wayne - and they're even worse when covered in all that hippie sh**!

I love VW vans. We used to have a Westphalia and we went everywhere in it. I wished I had another one, and you can put all your camera gear in it. the owner probably lives in it.

I realized I might be walking into a minefield with this one.
Almost anyone I ever knew who owned one of these managed to roll it over or had it blown into the ditch or into on-coming traffic in a crosswind. Newer Vanagons are probably a lot safer.
That looks like one Happy Camper to me!
what about this pink one?

My dad had 2 of them when I was a kid - I loved them!
CaT, that is very interesting. Here is a shot I took in NYC this summer. Same license number. :-)
