Greetings, Wayne...I see I've missed some really good posts (I've been scrolling down). You're an excellent photographer with a great eye.

I love this one even if they are somewhat scary! :-) I've not heard of the Vancouver Morris Men, so wonder if they sing or they simply stand with torches in hand?

Yes, definitely an English tradition. The Morris Men are great guys and yes they sing. They're a real crowd pleaser.

This is the Winter Solstice celebration. At other times they dress up colourfully and dance.

Such drama! I know the island is pretty flat and just above sea level but I expect this mob to be gathering at the foot of Castle Frankenstein.

Bob, when it ceased being an industrial site and became a 'destination' they threw in a couple of hills for good measure.
