Nope, my camera is never hanging around my neck Kathy. But I'm usually carrying it in my hand. At one time I tried for the lightest camera I could find. This one isn't light but I've grown used to it.
I'll probably develop some joint ailment or other.

Hmmmmm...maybe you should ask Santa for a black rapid camera sling...doesn't go around your neck or screw up any joints!!!
