I don't like photographing in the rain either. Yesterday set some records here for rainfall. No flooding, just the amount that fell yesterday on that date. It was freezing further north.
Still nice captured. Pity you don't see the rain somewhere. It could have add atmosphere.
Oh don't fret, it's too dark to see the weather vane anyway. I like this place. Reminds me of the Musée d'Orsay a little.V
