I'm so glad you didn't try to freeze the action. Tack sharp is not always the best choice for movement, in my opinion. The wonderful slight blur of that swishing skirt perfect for the FEEL of the dancer's movement.
I agree with Laurie! These are fab shots. That blue floor helps to show off the colors, too. Gosh, this brings back memories of hours and hours of sewing yards and yards of ribbon on miles and miles of ruffles when my daughter was in a Baile Folklorico group in elementary school. -Kim

You might wanna try the Sport/Kids mode on your camera. In most cases it's very good at "freezing" actions. The shots are still amazing though!
