Over-sized flags aren't a common sight in these parts. But some time back the union members at the P.O. had this one made.
Normally it's unfurled for Canada Day, July 1. This year it was draped over the main post office during the Olympics and they haven't got around to taking it in yet.

Fun to see the lighted windows behind the flag. That's ginormous. The street lamp gives a nice scale to appreciate the size.

Why on earth WOULD they take it in? IT's gorgeous and what a g reat photo! Oh Canada.... I don't know the rest.

Wow, that's a lot of fabric. I can see why they might be inclined to not rush to fold it up again!
