The Workless Party actually runs candidates in civic elections, so far without installing anyone in office.

They are, however, very successful at encouraging people to have a good time.

Workless Party parties are renowned for reasons I'm not prepared to elaborate on here.

Until now I've deliberately avoided them because I'm a fuddy-duddy.

After encouragement and pressure, in equal measure, from the band I decided to broaden my horizons.

Either I left before things really got out of hand or I was in the wrong places at the wrong times. It wasn't too bad except for the ear-splitting recorded music.
