Ranier

There is a new neon sign on Carrall St.

As far as I know there was never a Ranier Hotel here. It's a name more at home in Seattle.

But if the city is willing to permit new versions of these classic neon signs I don't care what names they use.

And the street lamp is perfect for the architecture as well. Great night shot.

Fits better than you might think, on that lovely street.

Love the blue light you've captured and the light from those sconces bringing out the texture of the wall, pulling the eye up like the sign. That tree seems to know its job to fill the blue space with texture of its own. What a great image!

Gee! thanks Kim :-)

I fooled with this for a few minutes, I really had to slow the shutter speed and/or bump the ISO to get a clear image. This is probably the only one that came out OK.

BTW, for those who didn't know, the profile image of me, the only decent picture taken of me since I was two years old, was taken by Kim.
