50' or 100' banners (read ads) are quite common now that we've contracted the Olympic virus (or is it fever? I always confuse those two)
Seen from the cemetery you can make out the skier on the Royal Bank building at Georgia and Burrard, 5 or 6 kms away.
Looking at another of my famous 'cropped to death' images, it's not clear but the caption reads 'we're proud to support Team Canada'.
The building is about 300' high.
The Royal Bank is an official sponsor of the Games. I'm curious to know the cost of making, installing and removing that banner.

As for the cost of the banner, you can bet the photographer who made the image got paid a very tiny portion of the total cost for that installation!
