Just look at the detail in those shingles. David Fleming, the chap who built this house, was the millwright in a shingle mill which probably accounts for the elaborate shingle pattern.

It is beautiful! I don't think people have the time or patience to make stuff like this nowadays. Or if they do - it will cost an arm and a leg!
That is some intricate shingle work, but it sure adds so much detail and it's all in the details.
Looks like a faux gingerbreak house I made one time. Even the color is the same. Nicely preserved as well. Like you "house series".
