Grand March For Housing

Last Saturday there was a march/parade to support affordable housing in B.C., especially in the Vancouver area.

The Carnival Band were there

with three sax men

There were two or three different marches, all converging on the front lawn of the Art Gallery, the most popular venue in town for raising a fuss about something. I followed this march from the train station through downtown. Judging by the attendance I'd say it was a huge success.

Looks like it was a lot of fun in addition to being a very worthy cause to march for!

Well I don't know if I've ever heard of a street demonstration that included a cool band and Easter bonnets!! Vancouver must be much more civilized than we are down here in the sticks. Ya think????
