The Lions

This is the view of the North Shore and the North Shore Mountains from New Brighton Park.

In order to view the full shot it may be necessary to click on the photo.

The snowy peaks in the centre are The Lions. Apparently, if you're imaginative enough, you can see two sleeping lions in the shape of these peaks. I'm not imaginative enough.

I can almost see the lions, but you're right it does take a lot of imagination. This is a beautiful panoramic scene!

Still looking...I want them to be there.

Very peaceful. If the lions are laying on their backs, I see them. But, probably not.

Hey, Wayne. Thanks for the note today. Is this where Lion's Gate Bridge gets its name from?

AH, I never thought of that. Maybe they're stretching.

Don't feel bad you guys, I've been looking at them in real life for 50 years and I don't see them but I've been know to say I did just so I wouldn't feel like a moron.

Bob, You are correctomundo, that's were the Lions Gate Bridge gets it's name. Some of us call it the First Narrows Bridge once in a while just so we can feel sort of exclusive.

Thanks for all your comments. The views from the park are far more interesting than the park itself, trust me on this.

I think I might could see it if someone were to put two actual lions up there!

Nonetheless, it's a beautiful scene. You have so many pretty views!
