I'm squeezing a couple of photos I took yesterday into the Granville Island series.
We've had unusual, for us, periods of heavy fog for a week or more. It rolls in and rolls out (or whatever it does when it leaves) and yesterday it was as thick as a wool blanket by sundown.
The Burrard St. bridge, seen here, spans the entrance to False Creek just north of Granville Island.
There you have it, hot off the presses and straight out of my camera.
P.S. In a, no doubt, futile attempt at keeping Virginia, my producer/manager, happy I'm going to try posting the blog earlier, i.e., in the middle of the night. Apparently my former schedule did not suit her lifestyle. If this schedule is better feel free to let me know. If it's worse feel free to let Virginia know.

How eerie and strange to have such dense fog for so long. Great pics of Burrard Street Bridge and I agree that the one with the sun almost there is my favourite.
I really like the second one, with the sun obscure behind the ironwork and fog. It reminds me of those Monet paintings with the sun over a very foggy River Thames.
Of, and of course, whatever Virginia wants, Virginia gets.
Those are cool photos Wayne - fog pictures can be really special, and these certainly are.
I looks very soupy indeed. It's neat to look at but horrible to drive in.
