Harbour Centre, or more specifically the revolving restaurant, features prominently on most depictions of Vancouver's skyline.
I've heard a theory about restaurants and I tend to subscribe to it. The more emphasis put on the view the worse the food is likely to be. I couldn't say whether it applies here but I never hear anyone saying, 'you've got to go to Harbour Centre..blah, blah, blah, yada, yada.......the food is to die for, .....yada, blah...'
If the elevators had been located on the opposite side of the building the view from them would have been outstanding. On this side, I doubt it's anything to write home about.
If you're thinking this is an ugly building, I'm with you.

Great title for this shot!!
By the way, Steve Nash is my favorite player. That's why I wanted a shot with him in it.
I love this shot - look at the colour of that sky! Too bad they weren't forward-thinking enough to put the elevator on the other side.
It might be an ugly building but you can have fun scrolling up and down your blog because there's a bizrre kind of ripple effect. It's been amusing me for the past five minutes or so :-D
By the way, I have something you might like coming up as my next post - in approximately 11 mins from now!
I agree about the more view the restaurant has the less you go there for food. Bonaventure Hotel in downtown LA comes to mind.
Cool shot. I agree, though, it's not terribly beautiful as a building but your perspective is great here.
I try to avoid these outdoor elevators. The man-made heights make me more and more uneasy as I age. I don't know why. As a youngster, I would have loved it.
Well I'm still chuckling about "Petered Peppers" but what the hey. I am ambivalent about this structure. I think I'll go with your opinion. Hey that's a first , right???? It's ok, but so Seattle look alike. What we need is a good tractor here, W.

wayne, you are so funny, you just let loose on anything and everything
Aww, too bad about the elevators. If the food up there isn't good and/or too expensive, the elevators would have been the way to take in the sights.
Love the title!
Seeing this elevator makes my stomach twitch. Think I'd take the stairs.
