Dimanche Après Midi ...

From The Archives

... a l'ile de la Grande Jatte.
I was in Chicago for 3 or 4 days last May but only managed about an hour at the Art Institute.
I think it was just bad planning that left me so little time there on that trip.

Chicago is Freezing

In Chicago it's only about -6ºC but there is often a wind which seems to make it twice as cold.

Cloud Gate

I filed this under 'completely unoriginal'. Not the piece, the photo.

This one too.

I didn't think I'd ever say this but maybe it's time Frank Gehry came up with a new schtick.

Nighthawks At The Diner

I'm away on a train trip. I'm substituting the usual boring shots of Vancouver with boring travel shots.

Michigan Ave.

Skating in Millenium Park

I spend a lot of my time looking up in Chicago.

I'm sort of stranded here. The last Amtrak trains from the west were almost a day late due to severe weather somewhere in the mountains. My train to Portland was cancelled. I managed to book a space on the Jan.13 train but I'll leave sooner if something opens up.

I'm away on a train trip, pictures are likely to be the boring tourist type photos instead of the boring Vancouver type photos.
