An Auto Fact

Made In Canada
As far as I can remember I never clued into this bit of 1960 automobilia as a kid.
The Ford Frontenac was the Ford Falcon made in Canada for the Canadian market.
This one had maple leaves on the hubcaps, the grille and fender insignias too.
A bit over the top I think, lacks subtlety.
If the flag had been in existence back then the car probably would have been red and white too.

I kinda like the leaves, at least on the steering wheel.

Pretty cool with the maple leaf!

My first car was a new 1962 Ford Falcon which had the same dashboard except for the Maple Leaf insignia. But my car had no radio, gauge package, or 4-speed floor shifter. Mine had no accessories which meant warning lights instead of gauges, a heater, manual choke, and three speed manual transmission with lever on the steering column. Kept that car for ten years and put well over 100,000 miles on it. Still running great when I gave it to a friend, but the body had begun to rust. Your photo brought back memories.
