Nordstrom

Up to now Vancouver's (and Canada's) major department stores have been Canadian.
Woodward's, Eaton's, Hudson Bay Co.
Sears is a U.S. company but even when I was a kid we had Simpson Sears in Canada so they felt Canadian.
The landscape is about to change once Nordstrom opens it's store on Granville Mall in September.
The entirely new exterior of the store (formerly Eaton's and then Sears) is pretty well buttoned up.

Love the reflection of classic architecture in glass buildings. Symbolized old and new. No way to avoid globalization.
