Stuff That Bugs Me

The Crescent
Doesn't look like much does it?
This house is on The Crescent, an odd name since it's more of an oval but that's not what's bugging me.
This is a small mansion in among large mansions.
A house listed for $10,000,000.00 in this neighbourhood would likely be considered a bargain.
It looks like the place will be demolished.
Some god-awful architectural pseudo-something or other monstrosity will replace it.

Vancouver's motto:
We tear down the perfectly good and replace it with the perfectly awful

Wow! $10,000,000.00 is the low end in this neighbourhood? Wayne you were definitely on the wrong side of the tracks.

Thanks Wayne. You often put on something that brings back Vancouver memories. Used to deliver the morning Province on a route that included the Angus Drive and Granville St. corner and have spent more than a few hours over at the Crescent oval park.My home was at 28th and Granville.Had a look at the map and there's a monster house on the spot now that takes up the entire lot.

Hear hear! It's atrocious how lovely little character homes in Vancouver are bulldozed to make way for soulless cookie-cutter monstrosities! And what's with all the condo-building? Is there really such a huge influx of people into the city...and since when is $300,000 for a one bedroom apartment considered a deal??? Makes me crazy. Nevertheless, looking forward to moving back "home"...as a renter.

Stephanie, I dunno. Since Google shut down Reader I follow blogs with Feedly. That could be part of the reason. If you figure it out let me know.

Everyone will be happier if they don't have to look at my picture anyway. :-)
