The good old chain guard. Remember pant clips that prevented one from getting their pant cuffs caught up in the chain. What can I say... that was the first thing that your photo brought to my mind.
I probably had pant clips at one time. But mostly we just rolled up the right pant leg if there was no chain guard. Now paint clips have velcro and safety reflectors. :-)
I like the photo Wayne but as to being the real thing like an old Schwinn um no. That's basically a junker Supercycle from Canadian Tire and if one is really into the old beach cruisers you wouldn't be caught dead on that bike.Have a look at this guy for a real taste of bike snobbery. bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com. This guy is very entertaining and has been snobbing online for a few years now.

What do you mean, do you "remember" pant clips, Andy? I still have them. :-)
A classic, nicely captured.
LOve, love, love your photos and close-ups!

It might not be the "real thing" Wayne...but it looks like a good one to cruise the beach to me!!! Does it come in pink???
