I've been fascinated with the art of sign painting since I was a teen.
SMASH Gallery of Modern Art is showing an exhibition of work by several local sign painters.
The exhibition is held in conjunction with the Vancouver screening of the documentary Sign Painters.
If you get the chance to see the movie I feel confident about recommending it.

I checked, and the closest screening to Toronto is Detroit! I'll have to seek out the book.

The movie will make to TV eventually. It's possible that the tour will be expanded, it seems to be a popular film.
