How old would you guess this boy is? 8 years old? 10 years old?
I remember this scene quite clearly.
This kid knew how to handle a very spirited horse.
This Camel Fair was held on outskirts of Cairo on Christmas Day (possibly 1987).

Nothing wrong with kids learning to ride a horse. Got my first horse when I was about seven. By the time I was 8 or 9 would ride any horse. Great photo of a beautiful horse and rider.
What??? No parent hovering to make sure the little tyke doesn't fall or get nipped??? Such independence...this would never do (in the States) today!!! Why he just might get hurt!!!
We've (the States) gone a tad overboard in "protecting" our kids these days...
