Cowichan ...

Cowichan Sweaters
... Sweaters have been around a long time.
I had one decades ago and I wish I'd kept it, but it probably wouldn't fit me now, waist wise.
The genuine article is made by hand in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.
I see a lot of them around but can't tell if they're new or vintage.

The Vancouver posts are on autopilot while I'm travelling

I always enjoy your people shots. I had to search the net for the sweaters. It surprised me that there are no two sweaters alike.

I had one years ago, the darn thing made me itchy.

The sweater on the left might be hand knit, but the one on the right looks too fine and regular to be hand made. Love hand knit sweaters, and have three of them made in Ireland and several made by my wife. One of those is more than 40 years old and still fits because it was too large when new.

Ka-nitted sweaters no doubt. At least one looks to be. Wool sweaters are very nice. I especially liked my Army Olive Green Sweater. I visited your city once or twice on my way over to Victoria. Nice cities.
