Spam Alert

SPAM
I have to say I haven't noticed tinned mystery meat in the grocery store for ages.
Probably because I don't walk along the right aisles.
It's still available in at least one Chinese grocery on E. Hastings St.

Hastings St., Chinatown

That's the original spam.

I read something about the form of the tins for spam. It seems to be one of the oldest forms for tinned meat.

Spam originated with Hormel in Austin, MN, and is known throughout the world. I have a Hawaiian friend who loves the stuff. You can google lots and lots of recipes. Personally, I think it is awful but it has fed millions over the years, and is still available!!

Never see Spam without thinking of Monty Python's humor. "I'll have Spam, Spam, Spam, Egg, and Spam."

And I'll have Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, with a side of Spam.

I see it, but I'd never buy it.

(And it's unfortunate, but a spam alert is all to relevant for this blogger lately.)

Paul, it did occur to me that I might create a bit of panic with that title. :-)

Thanks for all the comments.

I don´t understand the reference to Monty Python of your Saturday´s photo , but I do see it in those spam cans.
