Mr. Wonderful

_DSC6759
Sears is closing their downtown stores in Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa.
Everything must go, including the fixtures.
This mannequin looks a bit like a young Tony Curtis.

Sears and Roebuck wasn't that a very famous catalog seller in the past. Here in europe firms with to thick catalogues who missed somehow the connection with internet are falling also with as greatest Neckerman from Germany.

Is the store closing because of the economy or is it just a no longer or usable space. Rather unattractive mannequins, don't you think?

To clarify, Sears is still in business but they are closing some stores. The downtown store in Vancouver was 7 floors. It was probably too large to be practical.

Sears still prints catalogues, some of them are as big as phone books (which are pretty much obsolete as far as I can tell)

You must mean Tony Curtis in The Boston Strangler, 'cause frankly I'm with Kate, he looks weird!

Oh!!! Oh!!! I used to live in a two story duplex and my downstairs neighbor had mannequins in her front window....always dressed for the season!!! She'd have loved this opportunity!!! (She's also the one that had the pink flamingoes in the yard...I would describe her as eccentric and a lot of fun!!!)

so many mannequins now are faceless (and headless) that this eccentric one could be quite collectible!
