Results May Vary

Hastings and Seymour, Rain
This is an example of my efforts to teach myself to take pictures at f1.8 or f2 and actually get part of the image in focus.
In reality results don't vary much, they're mostly hopeless.

Nothing to complain about here. Half my shots in low light are off focus due to the 50mm lens and low aperture!

Looks like there is plenty of light for f1.8. Your experiment is a success.

I use "P" = Professional mode. I am sure your camera has it. It may also have "A" = amateur mode, but stay away from this if you want bad, bad photos. If you want SHARP, then go for the "S" mode.

our instructor is going to explain what these actually mean in our next lesson
