There are thousands of better images of this piece on the net.
The first time I saw a photo of Digital Orca I actually thought there was something wrong with the picture.
Photos have to be taken from further back to get the full effect.

Knowing a little of how Coupland works I wouldn't be surprised if that was how this piece began life.
