Three hours before the big game.
I took this as I wandered through downtown. Looks like fun doesn't it.

Well, Vancouver lost and everything went off the rails.

Now Vancouver is famous for scenery and rioting morons.

How does that compare to being famous for bagels and rioting, French-speaking morons? :(
Happy Thursday!
I'm not looking forward to today. First all those arm chair coaches will be going on about what a buch of bums the Canucks are despite the fact they made the playoffs and took it right to the last game. Only one other team can say that this year. Then there will be all those going on about the hooligans who in reality aren't about the sport. And of course there will be all those reports of how the police handled it badly from people who weren't there. I do, however, look forward to more photos from you of the beauty and quirkiness of Vancouver.

Golly down here in Bama we don't even riot over football, which is what whips eveyone into a lather. That was some ugly business in LL.

Things not so pretty in Lotus Land. Change the name to Loutus Land.
Too many people in one place, too much alcohol, and troublemakers hiding in the crowd waiting for the opportunity to cause mayhem. An awful happening! A lot of them look very recognizable in the films so hopefully will be picked up soon.
that doesnt look good indeed...
here in boston there will be a parade tomorrow... they are placing fences everywhere already and police certainly will be abundant...
Congrats to the Bruins CaT. The best team won.
Many cities wouldn't allow so many people congregate downtown, especially when there's so much drinking. Vancouver still has some lessons to learn.
I saw that on the news (hard to miss) and couldn't believe it. I have this image (probably naive) of all Canadians being a peaceful bunch. But logic knows there are idiots in every crowd and apparently a bunch of them got together there.
I saw the bottom photo without reading your captions and thought "Why, Vancouver's on fire!" I heard about your riots on the radio...they were talking about a 17 year old young guy who admitted to what he did and announced his name...apparently now the family is getting all kinds of threats. At least the kid had the fortitude to stand up and take responsibility for his actions...Very sad when this kind of thing happens...
