A40

This Austin may well be a one of kind. It's a 1950 give or take a few years.

It's been well restored, it's the only white one I've seen, and the dashboard was lovely burled wood.

It's always been my feeling that the cars on certain kid's fairground rides are modelled on the Austin.

That white Austin is truly a gem! I would think one could have a profitable wedding ride business with it!

Nice car but I love the kiddos' version!! I never thought of that connection but then I didn't know that was an Austin. :)

Great photographs.

In my small community, oh, about 15 years ago, there was an older lady who used to drive a similiar Austin around. It was so darn cool.

It had the little indicator wings that came up from near the door, but that didn't matter all that much as she didn't often use them, preferring to do U-ies in the middle of the road.

The only lady I ever met that attended garage sales wearing gloves and a charming hat.

Now, when ever a group of us talk about this person and her car we all smile.

Thanks for bringing back the memory.

My great aunt had an Austin and the turn indicators were the feature I always remembered about the car.

Thanks for the comments.
